Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a California Car Crash
The visionary game developer, the mind behind the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned game designer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.
"We are facing a devastating loss, and we stand with his family and friends, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
