The former personal attorney for Donald Trump has stepped down as the chief federal prosecutor in the state. This follows a legal ruling that questioned her legal standing to serve.
Acceptance of Resignation
The head of the Justice Department, Pam Bondi, accepted the prosecutor's departure on the start of the week. Bondi stated that the court's "flawed" ruling made it "untenable" for her to lead the department effectively.
"Do not interpret adherence to the ruling as defeat," she wrote. "My fight will now extend throughout America."
